Bharatanatyam may be the oldest classical dance tradition of India. The performance repertoire of Bharatanatyam, like other classical dances, includes nrita (pure dance), nritya (solo expressive dance) and natya (group dramatic dance).

At kalanjali, we focus on  intensively training the students in the technique and alignment of this dance form. We attempt to introduce the students with all aspects of this dance form which include physical strength, efficiency of movement and involvement in the art form.

Students at Kalanjali have been training extensively to build on a strong base in Bharatanatyam. They are given an idea about the history of the art form, influence of literature and its aesthetics etc.

Kalanjali has been giving the students an opportunity to perform and learn more on various platforms like Dance festivals, temple programs, corporate shows in and around the country. Students have taken up junior and senior level examination organised by the government of Karnataka and have emerged successfully by securing distinctions.
